Description

Trogir town is situated North of Kastela bay (close to airport), on very small island between main land and Ciovo island and connected with bridges. Very popular tourist destinaton, overloaded in summer time it offers real treasure in historical, cultural and architectural way. Rock Climbing progress in that area started 1996. by Steven Whittall, an English climber who fell in love with that area instantly. Right now there are approximately 47 routes in Trogir with difficulties from 6a-8c+ but there is also some potential for new routes there, specially a hard ones. Just like on Marjan, Trogir is a perfect climbing area for autumn, winter and spring. The crag orientation is South. Rock is mostly vertical or slightly overhanging 15-50m high. Type of the rock is limestone. There are two main sectors in Trogir, Sector Big and Sector Small. Both walls are amazing and challenging for all type of climbers, mainly for those in better shape.
